Meet Ashley | Maine Birth & Postpartum Doula

I’m here for you...

The Story of Due Season Doula

To me, a “due season” goes far beyond an estimated date on a calendar or a 40-week timeline. Growing a family asks for a beautiful balance of thoughtful preparation and becoming comfortable with the art of letting go.

That’s why I chose the name Due Season Doula. Just like the seasons in nature, becoming a parent comes with its own time of waiting, growing, changing, and eventually welcoming something new. There’s so much happening long before your baby arrives, and I believe every part of that journey deserves to be honored, not rushed.

I have a special place in my heart for the quiet in-between space of pregnancy, where you aren’t quite navigating day-to-day parenting yet, but you’re certainly not not a parent either. You’re living in the middle, and that transition deserves just as much care as the day your baby arrives.

Because your due season isn't just about when your baby is born. It's about everything you're becoming along the way.

What Being a Doula Means to me?

Being a doula means being invited into one of the most tender, transformative seasons of someone’s life, and I don’t take that lightly.

To me, this work is about listening before advising, preparing without trying to control, and helping you feel connected to your own voice when there are a lot of other voices in the room. It’s knowing when to offer information, when to speak up, when to bring calm, and when to simply sit beside you.

I’m not there to create a certain kind of birth or make choices for you. I’m there to know you well enough to support the choices that feel right for you and to remind you that you are an active part of your birth, your care, and your story.

That’s what being in your corner means to me.

Hi, I’m Ashley

My path into birthwork started with my own conception journey, which showed me just how deeply we need real, compassionate support when growing a family. I’m in this work to help you move into parenthood with more confidence, joy, and peace.

My care is rooted in the legacy of Black Southern midwives and four pillars: community, competence, commitment, and character. These values shape the grounded, deeply human care I believe every family deserves.

As a lifelong student, I’m always deepening my knowledge of birth physiology, nervous system care, and emotional support. Because true preparation isn’t about controlling every outcome, it lives in the trust we build and knowing you have someone steadfastly in your corner.
